I Can Drink!

Let's be honest I've been able to drink for over three years now. Pity I'm a missionary. And officially old. It's weird. And now I have to say I'm 21 when people ask how old I am. Dang it. But besides that downside this b-day was pretty great! I woke up to a little surprise y present from mi compita linda. Then we went to a lesson with one of our investigators Jose, who we team teach with the district leader and his comp, and the elders surprised me with Krispy Kreme Donuts. (A rarity here in Guate.) Later during lunch the Hna gave me a present of some cute aretes (google translate). Later we visited another hermana and walked her dog. When we got back she gave us some cake and gave me a small azalea plant. It brought joy to my soul. And really it was just small simple things throughout the day that made my birthday great. It's nice feeling loved. By people here in the area, the mission, but mainly by my heavenly father. Changes were today. It could have been that I was changed to a new area without knowing anyone. Or my comp changed to a complete stranger. But no. I get to stay in an area that I love with my compita linda that I love. It's the best and all that I could have hoped for.

But anyway my gente this week I would like it be made known that when a person really works on changing and also includes God as part of the process that's when the miracles happen. We have an investigator who says he feels empty and he wants to change that. Something he told us this week is that the more he talks to us, every time he comes to church, and the more that he learns he feels that emptiness filling up. He's felt more peace here in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints than he's felt in any other church he's tried visiting. And apparently he's visited a lot. It was a beautiful testimony that this gosepl truly is the thing that brings happiness and joy. That it slowly changes a person and makes their life better. I love that I get to be a missionary and witness it. Anyway that's all I wanted to say. I love you people! Adios!
