Mac & Cheese!

This week I made mac and cheese and it was the happiest day of my life. Perks to having an almost american like apartment. Finally. After 14 months of suffering. Oh I also hit 14 months this week. That was cool. Among other things I had a thousand temple recorridos, had lunch with the zone made by the senor temple couples (it's nice being joven), studied ingles, and made no-bake cookies a.k.a poop cookies. I really love this zone/area. The area is a little hard to work in because we're at the temple most of the time. But the people I've met so far I truly do love. They also speak a lot of english. Whether they're from the states or just know a lot of ingles. It makes my life hard. I've discovered that I can't talk anymore. After 14 months of talking in Spanish my English skills have gone way down. It's really sad.

Anyway this week I went to a mission council meeting 'cause I'm a leader now or something. But something that I really liked was something that my mission president said. "Si no hay animo no hay el espiritu." Haha you guys totally understood that right? Apparently the root to the word animo (energy) is espiritu (spirit) So if we don't have the energy or desire to progress we don't have the spirit with us. And really I know he was talking in terms of mission work and all that. But really I think it can apply to everything. If we aren't animated to do something life is boring and sad. And really if it's boring or sad we're lacking the spirit in our lives. Woo look at that first grade vocab. But I think you people get what I'm trying to say. Something that I've learned while in the mission is that when I'm excited about something life is better. I'm happier. And really my life is more guided by the spirit. And if I'm being guided by the spirit I'm following God's plan for me and that's just going to lead me to more happiness and really the pattern just repeats until I die of joy. Or something like that. So my gente keep up the good work! Have that animo! I sound so cheesy! I don't even care. I'm a missionary. It's my job. I love you! Be good! Adios!
