8 Months, New Shoes, and Moving!

This week was quite a busy one. Like it feels like it's been a month. Why? Well let me tell you. This week we moved shop. That in itself was an ordeal. Packing, cleaning, throwing away crap from past missionaries. And then the other side of it of more cleaning, unpacking, and throwing away crap from past tennants. But the new house has an awesome mirror wall. So you better believe there's going to be some mirror selfies. #myspace So that was one thing.
We also went to the temple with the jovenes. This time I went in to watch our recent converts Osue y Karisha do work for their antepasados. It was lovely and the spirit was calm. I think more than anything the mission is teaching me to appreciate the temple more. It truly is a place of revelation and peace. It's the house of God.
In news of fun things I bought myself some new old lady shoes. Let's just say that the ones I brought with me from home are literally starting to fall apart. So new shoes it is! Even if I don't love them it'll have to suffice. Here in Guatemala where everyone has such tiny feet there's not a whole lot of shoe options for people with giant feet like me. Literally my feet are twice the size of some peoples. It's sad. I blame my parents.
We gave some more woodworking service this week. Did some sawing. It's interesting how some people will let us help here. Like I would never let some inexperienced muchachas help me build furniture. But here I am in Guate building furniture.
We had a ward mission activity. It was really cool because all the people who had served missions in other countries had a little1 stand and explained how their mission was an1d gave us food fr1om each of the different countries. Rico and fun to learn about other countries. It made me want to travel even more after the mission than I already do.
I finished 8 months! 10 more to go! And for a celebration we went and ate donuts with the fam of our recent converts, the fam Fuentes. It was the birthday of one of the youngins so it was a double celebration.
And to finish I saw some cool views and clothes hanging to dry. And yeah that was the week in review. It was super fun but quite exhausting. I'm probably going to take a really long nap today. If I'm lucky that is. I miss my naps. But after the mission. I'll survive.
Anyway my people, I love you. I feel like as now I've almost hit my halfway point and am accustomed to missionary life, I realize that I still have a lot to learn. But luckily I have a whole life time of it. It never stops. And that's something that I love about this gospel. Is that we're always progressing and always learning. I feel like I know a lot of people in my life back home and here on the mission who think that ya. They've already done everything. They're happy with where they're at. But how sad. How sad they don't have the desire to progress anymore. To learn more. To grow more. To love more. To do everything. But more. I sometimes feel like our minds/souls are kind of like the universe. Constantly expanding and becoming grander and brighter. Even after this life it doesn't stop. We'll continue progressing on into forever. So my challenge for you people is to do an introspective inspection. Are you settling and thinking that your life is fine? Or are you constantly trying to progress? What can you learn today? Spiritually, physically, y mentally? But not only do a personal inspection also pray and ask. What does God have in store? What does he want you to learn? How does he want you to progress? I know for a fact that he has a plan for each and every one of us. A plan that is greater and better than we can imagine. He sees our potential, and we can too if we only look for it. Anyway that's all I wanted to share. Till next time!
