This week I would like to tel you about a couple funny superstitions of the guatemalan people. I can't remember all of them but I'll tell you three. Apparently the reason that the volcano exploded (fuego) was because it was really cold and it doesn't like t when it's cold. It makes it mad. Enotonces..... Another one is that you should not wear red to the beach because it makes the ocean angry and if you go in it'll pull you out deep and you'll drown. And the last one is if you want your hair to grow longer faster you should cut it with the moon. I think it means with the full moon. But I'm not sure. Haha and there you have it. Superstitions from Gautemala with Marley.
In other news this week was pretty chill. We went to the cap and had a reunion de nuevos (por mi hija) and I saw my Camargo there and my Avilez. So that was happy. My comp is really enjoying mission life, and we had a consejo with our district. Look how big it is! Four missionaries! Woo! My little unicornio did my hair and makeup. And yeah there you have it for brief activities.
And as for something cool and spiritual this week was really a struggle for me. But it taught me that agency truly is a gift from God. Even if it's super frustrating to deal with sometimes. We have several investigators who are "super pilas"as we say here. They're just so great and I feel like they're ready to really become disciples of our Savior. The problem is that even though I feel like they're ready doesn't mean that tey feel ready. And i have to have patience and respect their agency. I mean what was I fighting for in heaven? Agency. But at the same time this week I learned that people really do amazing things with their agency to love take care of others. There's a lady in our branch who recently fell and broke her arm. And her family and friends are just so loving and helpful to her. Because really she can't do anything right now without hurting her arm more. So I just love that agency is something that cna be sued for good or bad. That it's a gift from God. Really an eternal gift. And we need to be careful how w use it. we need to use it follow God and his path. And if we do that all will be well. I feel like anyway. Welp mi gente I love you dearly but never queerly. Till next time!
