It truly was all lies. Outside the cap is freaking great! It is a little hot, but really it just always feels like a slightly hotter day in Utah. And I can survive in that kind of heat no problem. There has been less mosquitos than inside the cap, the people are super lovely and make an effort to remember my name (It's Ya con D), I don't hear nearly as much "Canchita!", and really I just love it here. My comp is also super sweet and tranquilo. Like so calm and loving. It's incredible. I dig it. So yeah if you couldn't tell I really love it here. And there's a high chance that I'll be here for quite a while and I honestly have no problem with that. This area is gigantic and I seriously will probably never get to know it entirely because it's seriously just so huge.
Anwyay in events of the week we had jovenes throughout the week join us in the life of being a missionary, I met a cow, saw colorful graveyards, had a child and name it Sandi(a), the next day we killed it, I made a photo wall (I'm proud of it), I had my first consejo with my new district (there's a latino that's taller than me!), had divisions, watched pigs eat tortillas, went to Vegas, and finally saw a lot of beautiful scenery. I'm not going to upload all the pics çause you'd be blown away. But that's another thing about outside the cap, it's freaking gorgeous. Just so much green and sunshine. It forces you to be happy if that makes sense.
Anyway enough of my rambling. In ways of thing spiritual I had a cool experience about how studying really preps you for teaching. We had a lesson with an inactive member and he had a tema he wanted to ask us about. And the tema was "Why in the bible it says Sons of God when Jesus is the only begotten?"And it was amazing that I was able to remember my studies from the past couple months of the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and Jesus the Christ and able to answer him without having doubts in myself. Because I already knew and had the answer from my previous studies. It's amazing how the spirit truly does bring things back to our rememberance in our times of need. So this week my challenge to all of you gringos is to really study the scriptures and other church materials so you can be prepped for future opportunities. Anyway that's it. I love you all! Till next time!
